How to integrate your Ticketsolve account with Illuminate

In this article we will explain how your Ticketsolve account can easily connect with Illuminate via an automatic API integration.

What is Illuminate?

Illuminate is a new Audience Data Platform created by PwC for arts and cultural organisations. Illuminate enables organisations to gather audience data through surveys and box office connections, and access meaningful insights about who engages with your activities. All organisations funded by Arts Council England as National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) are required to send data to Illuminate as part of their funding agreement.

Integrating Ticketsolve with Illuminate

1. As an NPO you should have received communications from Illuminate directly about setting up the platform.

2. Once your account is created with Illuminate, they will contact Ticketsolve directly requesting a connection to your account. Ticketsolve will set this up for you with Illuminate using an API integration.

3. Once Illuminate confirm that the API integration is set up, Illuminate will request Box Office IDs / Event IDs from you

4. To get your Event IDs all you need to do is raise a ticket with the Ticketsolve Support team. In this ticket please let us know:

  • That you require Event IDs for your integration with Illuminate.
  • The start date that you require Event IDs from (e.g. 1.4.23).

5. Ticketsolve Support will then extract your Event IDs and email the Event IDs to you in a CSV file.

6. Illuminate then require you to manually match up the Event IDs from Ticketsolve to the events that are in the Illuminate platform

7. Once your events are set up in the Illuminate platform with matching Event IDs from Ticketsolve, your ticket sales and customer data for these events will be fed across to Illuminate automatically via the API integration.
