What Sales Reports are best for external promoters and production companies?

If you are looking to send an external promoter or production company regular Sales Reports, there are three that we would recommend choosing from - Events Revenue, Sales Summary by Ticket Price, or External - Events Summary.

1. Events Revenue

The Events Revenue report keeps things simple, simply giving a breakdown of Event sales over the previous 14 days, including the quantity and value of booked and reserved tickets. You have the option to exclude Agent Orders and/or Private Ticket Allocations

To set up an Automated Subscription for an Events Revenue report, you will need to create a User profile with a 'filter:xxxx' Tag, and the matching 'xxxx' Tag on the Show. Full instructions are in our guide to Creating and sending Automated Reports.

 Ticketsolve Tip

If a production company has multiple shows with you, you can send all of their Events Revenue information in one report! Just use the same Show Tag across all of the shows, and make sure they match the Filter Tag on the user.

2. Sales Summary by Ticket Price

The Sales Summary by Ticket Price report is similar to the Events Revenue report in that it provides the quantity and value of booked and reserved tickets by Event. However in addition, it also includes a breakdown of revenue and quantity sold for each unique Ticket Price available. It also includes sales across all time for the Event and is not limited to the 14 day window that the Events Revenue has.

Note: The Sales Summary by Ticket Price excludes Agent Orders and Agent Ticket Allocations from totals.

To set up an automated subscription for the Sales Summary by Ticket Price report, you will need to create a User profile with a 'filter:xxxx' Tag, and the matching 'xxxx' Tag on the Show. Full instructions are in our guide to Creating and sending Automated Reports.

3. External - Events Summary

If you want to send more detail, the External - Events Summary will give you a breakdown of quantity and value of sales for each Event (including discounts) by Ticket Allocation, Pricing Scheme and Ticket Price, as well as a pricing summary organised by Ticket Price alone.

It also contains an event overview (quantity of tickets sold/reserved/available, value of sales, gross and net value) and payments summary.

The External Events Summary is very similar to the Accounts Detail report but omits certain details like total capacity, product add ons, fulfilments and booking charges. The External - Events Summary also automatically excludes Private Allocations.
