Waiting Lists

I was wondering if it would be possible for the team to look at the ability to disable the waiting list function for certain events?
I know at the moment that function has an all or nothing option, but having the flexibility to apply it to certain events and not to others would be a benefit to venues.

Hi all,
Today the Waiting List feature was updated. The 'Name' and 'Phone' fields are now mandatory. It also gives the customer a login option, so when a customer has an existing account they need to log in, add the amount of tickets required and add themselves to the list.

Something I was thinking about a while ago is customers being able to add themselves to a waiting list on the front end of the site. If this was a feature I would prefer if you could turn it off and not use it on all events.

Many thanks for the suggestion, we've added it to our list and will evaluate it on the next round of priorities in August. We'll update you on it then.
James, it is possible for customers to add themselves to a waiting list online but it's not currently possible to turn it on/off by event. That's what we will be evaluating in a couple of months.
If you'd like to activate it so it appears for Sold Out shows, you just need to turn on a setting in Settings > General Settings called:
public_waiting_list_enabled

It would also be better for admin purposes if the customer had to complete their full details when registering on the wait list online, at the moment they only need to enter their email address.
Would second that Deborah. Would be good to get more details.
Maybe an option for non registered customers - it would be a bit of a pain for registered customers.
Registered customers already have an option to log in on the new front end to be able to add their pre-registered details.

Does the waiting list work on the new FE no then? As far as I can tell, we have it activated but it doesn't seem to be working for us?!
