Event Hub Initial Feedback

Hi Team!

Really impressed with Event Hub thus far - we've had it running for just about a week and are already seeing brilliant results! Some early and initial feedback here:

  • Could there possibly be a report where we can see all purchases against the event booked? At a glance this would be really useful for our Front of House management, without them having to drill into each order to see the event/show the orders relate to from the Product summary.
It would also help us to see which shows are performing best on Event Hub.

  • Being able to see where the customer is sitting, or the zone, would be beneficial for us on the Purchases tab or the downloadable .csv, particularly for the interval delivery. Knowing if the customer is Stalls or Dress Circle allows us to direct the interval drinks to the correct bars/collection point and level. This would also be useful if we ever implemented an 'Order to Your Seat' function.

  • Later down the line (and this is probably much more complicated!), could the Event Hub Pickup Instructions messaging be altered depending on where the customer is sitting? This way we could be more specific with where different customers need to go for one event (we are three tiers so our Upper Circle customers would collect from an alternative place to our Stalls customers, for example).
  • Would it be possible to stop the Event Hub orders at the time the event starts, rather than 15 mins before or 15 mins after?

  • Notifications when orders are placed close to show start might be beneficial too, which means Box Office don't need to keep refreshing the Purchases tab.
  • Finally, not sure if this would be possible, but it would be brilliant to have a working/test version of Event Hub from the email for training purposes and for showcasing to stakeholders so they can see the journey. It's a bit complicated to demo it at the moment as I cannot access it unless I get a live link in a pre-show alert (I think!).

Hope at least some of this is useful - thanks again for the support!

  • Sorry, that first point isn't clear. I meant a report where we see all purchases and the show they are assigned to so we can easily see which events are getting traction, and when we are anticipating a surge in delivery, at a glance.

    I knew what I meant!
