Waiting List - customer details additional required fields / mailing list option
We recently announced an event that sold out in under 2 hours, and now have a waiting list larger than our venues total capacity.
Most of the people on the waiting list have created a new online account, but currently this only records Name, Phone, Email with no setting to add more fields (that I could find).
A bit late now, but it would have been a great opportunity to capture other audience data like address as well as giving those people the option to subscribe to our mailing list for future events.
Having a separate field validation setting for waiting lists (like there already is for box office / online) would be a good addition in future. Mailing list options as well would be fantastic!

Sean is happy to look at this in more detail once the new back end has been released and is up and running sometime next year. The main reason we can't do work on it at the moment is that it would have to be done for both the legacy back end and the new one which is something he can't give time to at the moment.
I've set it aside as a future request and will raise it again as soon as I can.

Jumping on the band wagon here that this would be great for us! Waiting lists aren't always a massive problem for us but when they are this would speed up the process.
Another issue I experience with waiting lists is when we move the customer over from the list to the cart it doesn't move the total number of tickets over. I assume this is because we aren't recording the ticket type on the waiting list (full price or concession etc.). I wonder whether this type of information might be able to be incorporated? Might be too complicated for allocated seating though...
Also jumping on the bandwagon, I would second James comment.
Also I wonder if its possible to allocate a partial number of seats to someone on the waiting list. Currently if Mr Smith is on the waiting list for four seats and you have two seats available - moving him over to the Box Office removes Mr Smith from the waiting list completely.
Yes you can re add him for the remaining two seats but he ends up back at the bottom of the list not in his original position.
