How to add a token payment

Token payment types can be added to your account to mark payments that are not via standard currency or system vouchers, e.g. Theatre Tokens, local business vouchers, or experience vouchers.

To add a new token payment type:

Go to Settings > General Settings. 

Find the setting called "Token payment types".

This setting is in text and uses commas to split each token payment type.

For example:

To add a new one, place a , after the previous one and type the name of the new one.

E.g.

Theatre Token,Invoice,Local Town Voucher

To use a token payment on an order

In Box Office > Payment options, select the payment type Token. The list of token payment types appears in the 'Token type' drop-down list.

Notes

• There's a maximum 24 character limit on each token payment type name.
• Special characters (e.g. !"£$%^&*&*()_+) can be accepted.
• Token payment methods are used in Ticketsolve purely to mark the payment method in the system, like cash, chip pin, bank transfer. The actual taking of the payment and reconciliation is managed outside of Ticketsolve.
