Using crowdEngage with Ticketsolve

In this article, we will explain why and how you can integrate your Ticketsolve account with crowdEngage to increase your bar, food and merchandise sales, streamline your operations and enhance the audience experience.

What is crowdEngage?

crowdEngage is a web-based platform that you can seamlessly integrate with Ticketsolve in order to offer your bookers the ability to order merchandise, pre-show menus or interval drinks. There's no need to download any app, log in, or sign up. It's as simple as clicking a link in a text message.

The Ticketsolve x crowdEngage integration offers:

  • Pre-ordering of drinks and food
  • Pre-ordering of merchandise
  • Easy sharing of group tickets (no app needed)
  • Mobile donations functionality
  • Ability to offer either collection or at-seat service
  • Dissemination of your FAQs

How does crowdEngage work for ticket holders?

Ahead of your event, customers will be sent an automatic SMS message, customised by you, with a link to click to access crowdEngage's features. When the link is clicked it will take the user to a landing page, styled to match your organisation's branding, ensuring a cohesive and immersive experience for your customers without the disconnected feeling of an external site.

From here the customer can:

  • Access any pre-ordering services you want to offer like food, drinks or merchandise.
  • Read FAQs ahead of their visit.
  • View a map to get directions to the venue.
  • Donate to your venue.

When a customer places an order for a drink, for example, they'll be able to choose from collection or seat delivery (if you offer it). When their order is ready, they'll be sent another text to let them know. They make their way to the bar, collect their drink, and the ice hasn't even started to melt - which is pretty nifty!

 Notes

When a customer books tickets for a group (multiple tickets) they can also easily share the tickets with the other members of their party and give all ticket holders the ability to access the same features within crowdEngage - from pre-orders to donations, maps to FAQs, they'll have full access to all the information and perks that the lead booker has.

How does crowdEngage work for venues & organisations?

crowdEngage integrates with Ticketsolve via webhooks, ensuring that all the required ticket holder information is pushed over automatically. When setting up with crowdEngage, you are able to fully customise the timing, wording and branding of the text that your customers will receive. You're also able to change FAQs for different events.

 Important

You need to be capturing mobile numbers during the purchase process for customers to receive their SMS text message. To do this, make sure that the "Phone" field is set to required:

  • Online: Settings > General Settings > "Customer fields for online" setting > Phone = Display and required.
Note: Do not use the Mobile field as this does not display online.
  • Box Office: Settings > General Settings > "Customer required fields for boxoffice" setting > Phone > Tick to make it required.

When a customer places an order, the order can be sent to your POS in a batch, in real-time as it is placed, or you can choose to only send it once the customer arrives at the venue and their first ticket is scanned.

How crowdEngage x Ticketsolve can benefit your venue or organisation:

  • Enhanced audience experience before and during their visit - it's especially a great way to ensure your first-time attendees know about all the services you offer.
  • Reduced queues, faster service and better operational flow at the venue.
  • Increased food, beverage and merchandise sales.
  • Fewer calls to Box Office as FAQs are pushed out ahead of customers's arrival.
