If an event is selling fast and availability is getting low, there is a new feature on your Ticketsolve website that will alert your customers to snap those tickets up before they sell out. When availability on an event falls below a certain percentage (as determined by you), your Ticketsolve site can now display an icon and text to let customers know tickets are limited, helping to drive your sales and keep your customers happy.
April 2024 - The Low Availability Indicator can now also display on your Ticketsolve Show Listings/What's On page (e.g. myvenue.ticketsolve.com/shows). Read below for how to enable this new setting.
The Low Availability Indicator is enabled when the number of tickets in Public Ticket Allocation(s) available on an Event fall below the determined percentage. Blocked seats are not counted as available.
How to enable the Low Availability Indicator
The Low Availability is set up by the below settings/snippets:
- "Low availability threshold percent" setting - this determines what percentage % availability of public tickets should be left on any Event in order for the Low Availability Indicator text and icon to appear against the time/date of the Event on a Show page:
- "Low availability label" snippet - this is where you customise the 'selling fast' message that displays.
- Look & Feel - "Warning Indicator" setting - this is where you can set the colour of the flashing circle icon.
- "Selling fast look up threshold for show" setting - this determines how many Events in the future on any one Show should be checked for meeting the threshold in the "low availability threshold percent" setting before displaying the indicator on the Show Listings/What's On page:
Low availability threshold percent setting
Go to Settings > General Settings and find the setting called "low availability threshold percent".
1. Enter a number between 0 - 100 to determine what percentage % availability should be left on any Event in order for the Low Availability Indicator text and icon to appear, depending on what your venue's view is on 'selling fast'. For example, if you want it to appear when only 20% capacity is left available, enter '20' into the setting.
2. Click Update to save the changes.
Low availability label snippet
Go to Settings > Public Website Snippets and find the setting called "low availability label".
1. To tailor the text that appears on the website when availability is low, click into the field and enter your desired text. Remember that any long text will be truncated so best to be brief and snappy if possible.
2. Click Update to save the changes.
Look & Feel - warning indicator setting
As with most areas of the online pages, it's possible to tweak colours to fit in with your own branding. This is also possible with the pulse icon. Editing the colour of the pulse icon within the snippet can be made in the "look & feel setting" (General Settings or Subdomain Settings) under the General layout tab. The section is called Cards - Warning Indicator.
Selling fast look up threshold for show setting
This setting determines how many Events in the future on any one Show should be checked for meeting the threshold in the "low availability threshold percent" setting before displaying the indicator on the Show Listings/What's On page.
Go to Settings > General Settings and find the setting called "selling fast look up threshold".
1. Enter a number to determine how many future Events on any one Show to check.
E.g., If a value of 10 is entered in this "selling fast look up threshold for show" setting, it means that on any one Show, the next upcoming Events in the future for that Show, up to a maximum of 10, will be checked to see if of the 10 Events have limited availability and meet the threshold as determined in the "low availability threshold percent" setting. If any of the upcoming 10 events are below the threshold, then the Low Availability Indicator will display on the Show card on the Show Listings page (as well as on the Event on the Show page).
In summary, the lower the value entered into this setting, the more restricted the indicator is from displaying on the Show Listings page:
- If a value of 1 is entered, the indicator will only display on the Show card on the Show Listings page if the very next future Event on that Show meets the "low availability threshold percent" setting threshold.
- If a value of 50 is entered, if any of the next future 50 Events in a Show meet the "low availability threshold percent" setting threshold, then the indicator will display on the Show card on the Show Listings page.
2. Click Update to save the changes.
