Comments on Customer Records can be included on the Customer List and in the Checkin App for an event by pinning the comment. This is useful if there are recurring customer needs for every event they attend, like accessibility requirements or specific seating requests.
Comments on Orders can also be pinned to display in Checkin App - this is handy when the customer has a requirement for one specific event only, or the customer is leaving a comment on behalf of another party in their group.
How to pin a comment on a Customer Record
1. Click the Customers menu icon and go into Search Customers.
2. Search for the customer and when you have the correct record, click the 3 dots icon and select View Customer to open the record.
3. In the record, go across to the Comments tab.
4. In the Add a new comment box, write in the information that you want to be associated with the customer record.
5. Click Add Comment to save.
6. Importantly, you now need to pin the comment. To do this, hover over the comment you've just added and click the 3 dots icon that appears.
7. Select the Pin option.
8. When the comment is pinned, you'll see a pin icon on the top left-hand side of it.
9. If you need to unpin or delete a comment, just click the 3 dots icon to bring up the menu options.
How to pin a comment on an Order
1. Review any comments left on orders for the event by going to the Events Dashboard.
2. To view a comment, click the comment icon.
3. In the pop-up, you can now either add a new comment or pin an existing comment, i.e. if the customer has left a comment during checkout.
4. Select the Pin option.
5. When the comment is pinned, you'll see a pin icon on the top left-hand side of it.
Pinned comments in the Check-in App
Any pinned comments on both the order and customer record will be displayed within the Checkin app. These can be viewed by selecting the View Order button. If there is more than one comment, the comments bar will be scrollable.
Pinned comments in the Customer List
Any pinned customer record comments will also appear in the Customer List (long) run from the Events Dashboard. If a customer record has a pinned comment, there will be a tick next to their order to indicate a comment is present. The full comment can then be viewed in a separate Pinned Customer Comments section at the end of the report.
Note that the Customer List does not display pinned order comments.

It would be incredibly helpful if it did. We need to be able to work from printed lists and at the moment have to pull two separate reports and manually combine them to get all the seating info (seat nos), customer info and specific notes pertaining to that particular booking that we need.
Being able to pin customer comments is quite helpful for unchanging factors like long-term access needs, but less helpful than info that is specific to a customer's requirements at THIS order/attendance.
