Getting Set Up on Ticketsolve Pay: What Documents You’ll Need for KYC

Getting ready to explore Ticketsolve Pay? One of the first steps is completing a quick but important process called KYC – Know Your Customer. This is a legal requirement from our payment partner, Mangopay, and it ensures all financial transactions are verified, secure, and compliant.

This guide walks you through which documents to provide, plus a few helpful tips to avoid delays, especially when it comes to ID.

New to Ticketsolve Pay? Start with our Introduction to Ticketsolve Pay for an overview of how it works and the benefits it offers.

First things first: what type of organisation are you?

Understanding how your organisation is set up will help determine which documents you’ll need.

Ticketsolve Pay treats entities as either:

Businesses

Typically, companies or charities that are:

  • Limited by shares
  • Limited by guarantee

Organisations (Non-Businesses)

This usually covers:

  • Registered charities or similar
  • Unincorporated associations
  • Clubs or societies
  • Sole traders
  • Community or volunteer-led groups

Not sure where you fall? No problem. We’ll help confirm this with you before the process begins, but having an idea in advance can help things move faster.

What documents do you need to provide?

Here’s what’s usually required, depending on your organisation type. And don’t worry if you’re not sure where to find something — in many cases, we can help source it using Companies House (UK) or CORE (Ireland).

For businesses

  • Certificate of Incorporation (we can usually find this for you)
  • Governing document (such as a Memorandum & Articles of Association)
  • Bank statement header showing the business name
  • List of directors or trustees (if not listed publicly)
  • Photo ID and proof of address for:
    • One UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner, owning 25% or more)
    • Any legal representatives or signatories
  • In some cases, you may also need a shareholder declaration form. We’ll usually pre-fill this and send it to you for signature.

For organisations (non-businesses)

  • Governing document (for example, a constitution)
  • Bank statement header showing the organisation’s name
  • Photo ID and proof of address for a trustee or legal representative (this person must be named in one of the documents provided)

Tips for ID

This is where people often get stuck. To help things go smoothly, here are some tips for sending over a valid photo ID.

 Important

DO NOT scan your ID. We know it seems convenient, but scans will be rejected.

Instead:

  • Take a clear, high-quality photo using your smartphone
  • Make sure there’s no glare, no blur, and all corners of the ID are fully visible
  • If you’re submitting a driver’s licence, include photos of both front and back
  • Keep the image flat and straight, not at an angle
  • The file must be in colour (not black and white and no PDF scans)

Here’s an example of what we’re looking for:

A few extra tips to make things easier

  • We can often locate your registration documents using Companies House (UK) or CORE (Ireland)
  • Not sure what to send? That’s okay - we’ll double-check everything once you're ready to go

What happens after you send your documents?

Once we’ve received all the correct documents:

1. We’ll upload and review them with our onboarding team

2. Your setup will be reviewed and approved

3. We’ll let you know when everything is ready to go

That’s it!
