All Ticketsolve customers' online pages are designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 to AA standard. What this means is that the online pages must meet certain criteria to be accessible for people with impairments to their vision, hearing, mobility, and thinking and understanding.
The WCAG 2.2 AA includes requirements such as:
- Ensure content is easy to read (contrast)
- The page is traversable via a keyboard
- The application must support larger fonts and zoom levels
Whilst the majority of this takes place behind the scenes for you automatically, there are a couple of editable settings regarding web accessibility:
Alt text for Show images
It is possible to add Alt Text to Show images on your Ticketsolve site, so that screen reading tools can describe the images to users. To do this go to Manage > Shows > Uploaded image > 3 dots > Edit alt text > Add your text and click Save. For help on Alt text, take a look at these guides.
The character limit for Alt text on images is 125 characters.
Look and Feel colour contrast
In the Look and Feel settings for your site you have the ability to change background and text colours. If the contrast between these colours does not meet accessibility requirements, you will receive a warning:

Accessibility Instructions snippet for screen readers
You are able to add custom text across the account for customers using screen readers. You can find this snippet by going to Setting > Public Website Snippets and searching for a snippet called 'Accessibility instructions html'.
In here you may want to put in any instructions or information regarding accessibility at your venue.
Any text you add into this snippet will be embedded non-visually on all show pages.
