Upcoming Event Alert - MJML email template

What is the Upcoming Event Alert email?

The Upcoming Event Alert is can be set to send X time before an event start time to all customers, for example 24 hours before the event starts. The email can be set to send across the entire Ticketsolve account, or for specific Programs, Shows or Events only. It’s a great way to build audience relationships, create outstanding customer experiences and provide excellent customer service. Pre-event or reminder emails can include practical information such as where to park or arrival information, advertising pre-show dining options, or sharing exclusive promotions such as 10% off interval drinks if the customer books before the show.

It’s important to remember that the Upcoming Event Alert email will be sent to all customers regardless of marketing opt-in status, so is only to be used for information directly related to the event the customer has booked for.

The default Upcoming Event Alert email includes:

  • Personalised greeting
  • Custom opener message - by default this is to tell the customer you can’t wait for their visit
  • Event details including venue, show name, event date and time, and doors opening time if applicable
  • Embedded tickets with scannable QR code
  • Button for customers to download their tickets as a PDF
  • Button to add tickets to Apple and Google Wallet (provided the “mobile_wallets_enabled” setting on the account is enabled)
  • The {{event_snippet}} merge field to pull through any text in the "upcoming event customer alert snippet" setting, which can be set at account level to pull through to all Upcoming Event Alert emails, or on a Program, Show or Event level, allowing you to have different information pulling through into the Upcoming Event Alert email depending on which Program, Show or Event that the customer booked for
  • Custom closure message and sign off - by default this is to remind the customer to contact you if they need any assistance ahead of their visit
  • Social icons
