Exploring Ticketsolve Pay Transactions & Pay-outs

In this article, we'll explore the Transactions area of Ticketsolve Pay. This is where you can view all the card transactions being processed via Ticketsolve Pay in your account in real time. You can also view the batch payouts that happen when the money from Ticketsolve is deposited into your bank account. 

Exploring Ticketsolve Pay transactions

To access Ticketsolve Pay Transactions:

  1. Ensure you are logged in as the user level of Super -this is the only role with access to Transactions. 
  2. Navigate to Reports > Transactions.

3. You'll now be on the Transactions tab. 

From here, you can see the individual transactions going through your account in real time.

This view displays:

  • A - Unique transaction ID (click this to load the transaction details in the side-modal)
  • B - date & time of transaction
  • C - customer name on the card
  • D - masked card number
  • E - order number (click this to navigate out of Transactions and to the order)
  • F - value of the transaction
  • G - type of transaction (pay-in, refund)
  • H - status (created, succeeded, failed)

4. Each transaction page lists a maximum of 20 transactions; to view more, navigate using the forward and back arrows.

Status meanings:

  • Created - transaction has been successfully initiated but is not yet complete (a temporary status which will then change to Succeeded or Failed)
  • Succeeded - transaction complete
  • Failed - transaction did not complete

Filtering transactions

1. Click the Filter icon.

2. In the pop-out, you can now:

  • Search for a transaction - you can search by name, order ID, batch ID or the first/last 4 digits of the card number
  • Filter by Date - use the calendar to filter by date of transaction
  • Filter by Type - refine results to view only pay-in transactions or refund transactions
  • Filter by Status - refine results to view only succesful transactions, failed transaction, or created transaction

3. Click Apply to filter.

To remove the filter:

1. Click back into the Filter option.

2. Click Clear to remove the filters.

3. The pop-out will now close, and you'll return to the full list of transactions.

Viewing individual transaction details

1. Click on the three dots icon and select Show transaction, or click on the blue transaction ID button.

2. You'll now see a side-modal with additional details of the transaction, including:

  • Customer email address
  • Card type, e.g. VISA
  • Bank
  • Country

3. To move through individual transaction details whilst keeping the side-modal open, click on the blue transaction ID button on the main transactions page, and the transaction details in the modal will update.

3. To close the side-modal, click the X.

Failed transactions

For failed transactions, the failure reason can be viewed by opening up the individual transaction:

Transaction failure reasons include:

  • Transaction refused
  • Incorrect or missing CVV
  • Fraud suspected by the bank
  • 3DSecure failure

Exploring Pay-outs

Pay-outs occur when Ticketsolve batches the funds you have collected through Ticketsolve Pay and deposits them into your bank account. For the majority of Ticketsolve Pay customers, this happens automatically at 01:00 for monies taken in the previous 24-hour period.

For example, on the 5th November at 01:00, you will receive a payout for all Ticketsolve Pay monies collected on the 4th November. 

To view payout batches:

1. From the Transactions area, click the Pay-outs tab

2. From here, you can see the individual payout batches that are being created and deposited into your bank.

This view displays:

  • A - Unique batch ID (click this to load the batch details in a new tab)
  • B - date & time of batch
  • C - value of revenue received within that batch (pay-in)
  • D - value of revenue refunded within that batch (refunds)
  • E - final value of payment in the batch that you will receive as the sum of revenue paid in minus refunds (payout)
  • F - payout type, e.g. automated batch
  • G - status (created, succeeded, failed)

4. Each page lists a maximum of 20; to view more, navigate using the forward and back arrows.

Status meanings:

  • Created - payout batch has been successfully initiated but is not yet complete (a temporary status which will then change to Succeeded or Failed)
  • Succeeded - payout complete
  • Failed - payout did not complete

Viewing individual payout batch details

1. Click on the three dots icon and select View batch, or click on the blue batch ID button.

2. A new tab will open with a breakdown of all the individual transactions included in that batch. This includes:

  • Batch number
  • Batch details - date and time, status, pay-in, refunds, pay-out
  • Individual transaction details - ID, date & time, customer name on card, order number, value of the transaction, type of transaction (pay-in, refund), status (created, succeeded, failed)

3. This payout batch tab works in the same way as your Transactions tab. From here you can:

  • Filter transactions by clicking the Filter button
  • View individual transaction details by clicking the three dots icon and selecting Show transaction, or click on the blue transaction ID button
  • Navigate to the order by clicking the blue order number button

4. To return to the full list of payout batches, click the X on the payout batch tab.
