Benefit Expiry Warning email template

In this article we are going to look at the Benefit Expiry Warning email template. This email is sent to a customer who has an active Benefit Product (i.e. a Friend, Patron, Supporter scheme member) but the Benefit Product (membership) is due to soon expire. The email will let the customer know that their Benefit Product is due to expire and include a link back to the organisation's Ticketsolve online site for them to renew their membership.

What is included in the Benefit Expiry Warning email?

By default, your Benefit Expiry Warning email will state that the customer's Benefit is due to expire in X days and include a link back to your Ticketsolve site for the customer to renew their Benefit before it expires by purchasing a new Benefit Product.

The Benefit Expiry Warning email can be set to send however many days in advance you wish, and can be sent multiple times - e.g. 14 days before expiry, 7 days before expiry, and 2 days before expiry. This is set in the setting called "benefit expiry warning days"

Modifying your Benefit Expiry Warning email

The easiest way to customise or modify your Benefit Expiry Warning email template is using Mailchimp. You would need to design the email in Mailchimp, making sure you keep the required merge fields (we've got a ready made template you can update). You'd then export the HTML from Mailchimp, and add it into your Benefit Expiry Warning email template setting in Ticketsolve. To access our Mailchimp template and for instructions on how to customise it in Mailchimp, check out our guide on building a set of basic HTML system emails.
