Membership Welcome email template

In this article we are going to look at the Membership Welcome email. This email is sent to a customer when they create an online account (membership) to your Ticketsolve site, giving them a login and password. Having an online account with you means that the customer's details are saved every time they purchase online, and it also allows them to purchase Benefit Products (i.e. to join any Friends / Supporter / Membership schemes that you sell through Ticketsolve). 

What is included in the Membership Welcome email?

By default, your Membership Welcome email will be short and sweet! It will include:

  • A message to let the customer know that they have created an online account
  • The email address to login with
  • A link to the online site where they can log in

 Important

The customer will only receive this email if they create their own online account on your Ticketsolve site.

If you toggle on the Membership option on the customer record at Box Office, the customer won't receive this email - instead they will receive the Membership Reminder (password reset) email which will allow them to create a password for the online account you have just created for them at Box Office.

Modifying your Membership Welcome email

The easiest way to customise or modify your Membership Welcome email template is using Mailchimp. You would need to design the email in Mailchimp, making sure you keep the required merge fields (we've got a ready made template you can update). You'd then export the HTML from Mailchimp, and add it into your Membership Welcome email template setting in Ticketsolve.
